I’ve been friends with the guys standing to my left and right in the above photo for a combined 88 years. But before today, we hadn’t seen each other since a Christmas party in 2019 due primarily to the COVID situation.
The three of us and our wives enjoyed each other’s company again over lunch at a restaurant in the northern Philly suburbs called the Farm and Fisherman.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, I ordered the cheesesteak. It was well seasoned and tasted very good, although the roll was a bit softer than I prefer, as well as being smaller than average.

I thought I should also include this photo of the most interesting-looking potato skins I’ve yet to come across.

Lunch was excellent, but being with my old friends again was better. Thankfully, we won’t have another long wait until our next get-together, as we’ll all be attending another Christmas party at the same location as the one in 2019 next month.
I think my wife would be interested in the sweet potato skins, and I could go for the mushroom-Swiss burger. I went to F&F’s website and checked out the menus, and they have some interesting offerings.
It was great that you were able to get together with your friends after the extended hiatus, and that you’ll be seeing them again soon.
